Thanks everyone for your advice on my signature quilt.
Its still on the floor, still brewing.
We have been toying with the idea of having pins made
for our Infinite Variety Exhibition, and now we
need to make a decision before the end of the week.
Do we have just 100 pins made in 1 design,
or have 200 pins made in 2 designs? ( 100 of each design)
If we knew in advance there was enough interest, we would go with 200. ( or more)
If you know you are coming to QITB, and would be
interested in purchasing a pin,
( they will be selling at $5, with all profits going to Breast Cancer)
Please leave a comment below, to help us make our decision.
If we only have 100 made, we need to choose 1 design from
the 4 l have chosen. If we have 200 made, l can choose 2 of the designs!!
On average, we have around 700 people visit across the weekend.
But are they all going to want to buy a pin?
That's where l need your help.
Would you buy a pin, and which design would you choose?
l know l would like to have them all made,
cause l'm not good at making decisions sometimes!!!
Thanks for all input,
And thanks for visiting.
Linda.
Four designs - 4 x 100 pins. Must be do-able, I think. A bit more than half of expected amount of visitors.
ReplyDeleteAfterwards there's always the possibility to sell and send ( $5 + shipping ) anywhere in the world.
Cheers!
Jeanneke.
Would buy 1 pin. Like the 4 X 100 pins - easier than making a decision.
ReplyDeleteSurely with approx 700 visitors you could sell 200? I think 200 x 2 designs, sounds good. I would buy one and I love No. 1 design and No. 2 designs.
ReplyDeleteHey Linda, I think the pins are a great idea. I love the third design. I intend to come to the quilt display in October and would definitely purchase a pin.
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteI love all designs, so i'm no help in helping you make a decision.
I will definately be purchasing at least 1 pin if not more.
Hi Linda I intend to get to your exhibition again this year & would buy a pin - love the pineapple design as they mean "welcome" don't they??
ReplyDeleteWe are coming Linda and that would mean at least 4 pin sales. I do like the 3rd design but I would buy regardless.
ReplyDeleteLove the pins, My faves are 2, 3 and 4 (not a whole lot of help is it!!!) I would buy pins, and if there was more than one design I would buy one of each. They will be a great collector's thing, Well done. And nice gifts. Looking forward to a good time :-)))
ReplyDeleteM xx
Love the idea of the pins- I'd buy one or two regardless of the design.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteYes, I would buy a pin - don't mind which of the designs - I love them all.
Good luck,
Karen
I would buy a pin, love the ones with pineapples in the design, esp No. 3.
ReplyDeleteI like all of the designs, I would buy a pin even if I can't get to the weekend.
ReplyDeletehi, I am planning on attending for the first time(usually away)- would buy a pin regardless-not all photos opened up on the iPad??so can't pick a fav, sorry.i think majority of people would buy one because of the proceeds so I would think order up
ReplyDeleteHope you have enough for a Sunday visitor....any design is worthy of a donation. Looking forward to another QITB.
ReplyDeleteI would use one of the first two - not to fussy looking on a small pin. Go head and order 500 ..... you can always sell them on your web site. Stick to one to make it simpler. I am suggesting the bigger number as this is the first year and first year is often when there is most interest. Good price and great cause!
ReplyDeletePS wish I COULD be there for a trip around the barn !
Impossible to choose a favorite......I'm with Jeanneke.....do 400.....they will all sell! These are all so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou have a website?! I would so love to purchase a pin or two for your fans in California! I actually like all of your designs. Wish I could come to the show.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Regan. They are gorgeous pins. You should do a tote bag. I'd love some of those!!
ReplyDeleteI like all of them, what about doing a patchwork block and an applique block. I know your raffle quilt is appliqued. Just tossing that out there. As for buyign them, I think people will grab them up, just like at the NY show. I gifted some pins and everyone has loved them. Go for it!
ReplyDeleteI know I would like one - any of the designs are wonderful. Perhaps I'll send you the money and get one when I see you again in the USA. Certainly wish I were closer to you!
ReplyDeleteMary Ann
I'll have one too! ;)
ReplyDeleteOhhh i LOVE the idea of pins, and those designs are gorgeous..love them all!! i will definitely be buying one as i'm sure my friend, Sally, will also want one :)) cheers...Marian
ReplyDeleteI would definately buy a pin as a memento of the day and to donate to a good cause. I like the second one the best and I think you should get 200, I think you will sell them all.
ReplyDeleteI would buy one of each also love the tote bag idea. Not coming to the barn until Sunday hope there are some left.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea Linda. We would buy a pin and all the designs are great so we'll go with what the majority choose!! Wow is that like a "we can't make a decision either??"
ReplyDeleteHope you don't sell out.
Hi Linda, I'll be coming and will buy a pin, I think you should be ordering 100 of each design. Its a great idea and a great cause.
ReplyDeleteI would buy a pin! I love them and would love to have one too even though I will only be there in spirit
ReplyDeleteI love the last one....
Kathie
I'm so totally with the first comment, from Jeanneke.
ReplyDeleteIf only 2 designs, I'd choose 2 and 3
ReplyDeletethey are all gorgeous, just wondering why a geometric like maybe a schoolhouse or ohio star wasn't included?
ReplyDeleteIf you only have two designs I prefer 2 & 3 then 1 & 4. I will definitely buy a pin. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, what a great idea, I think a definite yes - by the way, i'd buy #1 and/or #2
ReplyDeleteHi Linda - I like number 1, but whichever you choose, I'll buy one!! And I'm bringing 5 friends.......
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to my first visit to you quilts in the barn this year. I would definitely buy a pin. I prefer design 2, but it might be fun to collect the different styles too.
ReplyDeleteI will be coming to the Quilts in the Barn for the first time and would definitely buy at least one pin. I love 1 & 2 but would love to have any pin in red and white so I hope you don't sell them all before I arrive lol. I'm really looking forward to the day.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Jan Mac
I'd definitely buy one - and would like a choice.
ReplyDeleteI will buy one, like them all, don't care which one/s you choose. Alison.
ReplyDeleteYou make them and we will buy them...you choose the design.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, love the pin idea and would like to buy one. I have no preference on design. Thanks, Anna
