l should have known that would happen!!
l would get inspired too!!
Here is my very meager yellow and green collection of fabric.
Nothing like Kathie's amazing collection.
So what do you do when you only have a very small amount of each fabric?
Make the most of it, and make 9 patches!!
l have 1 small quilt finished, that will be a gift for a friend who
is getting a super new quilting studio,
and with a whole day of sewing in front of me,
l hope to have several more mini quilts completed by the end of the day.
Thats 70 9 patches in the picture above, and l only used 10 in the first quilt.
l could have a whole village of little quilts by the end of the day!!
Thanks for visiting.
Linda.
I can't believe you were bold enough to use your yellow and green. I live that combo and need to have more than I can use before I use it. Don't ask me to explain.
ReplyDeleteHow funny it's true, great minds do think alike or more to the point in this case quilting minds LOL!!!! I've just posted about a sweet little repro quilt which i was drawn to on Kathie's blog header, some weeks ago.. it was the poison green & cheddar which spoke to me. I've had so much fun making this little antique doll quilt and i can't wait to get the book that it's in. I love your little nine patch blocks and can't wait to see what develops i can't wait to use poison green & cheddar again.. it's such a fun combo :))) cheers...Marian x
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda and the previous commenter. I have a stack of poison greens and didn't know what to do with them...I was avoiding their use. But now I am inspired to get them out from behind closed doors and start to use them. Great little 9- patches!

I think we're all jealous of Kathie's stash! Amazing! And those little 9-patches are the cutest ever! I love those colors together! Can't wait to see all the little minis you make!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm so glad you got the blogger issues fixed.....I hate missing your posts!
Those prints are so pretty - can't wait to see the finished quilt!
ReplyDeleteWould love to see the little quilt(s) made up. We are having Spring and green and yellow are just the ticket.
ReplyDeleteYour colors are electric! Great little 9-patches!
ReplyDeleteWonderful 9-patch blocks. Kathie's quilts AND stash inspire many of us. : )
ReplyDeleteLove 9 patches Linda, and must admit I have very little yellow in my stash. Must rectify that
ReplyDeleteMy very favorite color combo in the world! Its spring here, and there are huge fields of green and yellow mustard plants blooming that remind my of your sweet blocks. When I see them, I always think of the French countryside.
