The House of Nathalie Meance.

The House of Nathalie Meance was like walking into wonderland.
Not only are her quilts beautiful in their own right, she has added amazing
embellishments to make them even more stunning.
No words can describe their beauty, so just enjoy the photos!!
Don't forget to click on them to enlarge and see up close and personal
this amazing work.

This is her book, which l believe features all these amazing quilts.
Its available from Quiltmania.
Nathalie also has a website. Its all in French, unfortunately,
and l can't find a translate button.

Which one is your favourite? And why?

Thanks for visiting.
Linda.

  1. Beautiful, detailed quilts - there must be an enormous number of hours work in each! thanks for showing the closeups of all the embroidery and quilting. My favourite is the one in photos 12 and 13 -love the colours and I've always loved the Sarah Johnson quilt variations.

  3. I am just in awe. There is a little piece of paper up in the address bar...if you click on it, I think that's where the translate button is. My computer is set to automaticly offer to translate so I hope that is how it was. I would love to see more. That flower basket is amazing. Thank you for sharing. I now have to see what I can find.

  6. I am a great fan of Nathalie's work and was lucky to attend a two-day class with her last November to make The Basket quilt. The embroidery is almost finished and the top will be soon. And because her quilts are so beautiful and addictive, I will start "Suzanne" (second photo)as soon as The Basket is finished and quilted, hopefully mid-July. Thanks for the beautiful photos of her work.

  8. What a show! My favorite is the courthouse steps. What I love about these quilts is that they seem both traditional and innovative. Thanks for sharing.

  9. Just lovely, and so hard to pick one out as a favorite. But I'd have to say the Wedding Ring wallhanging. It's so calm, restful, and easy to look at. And then a close look shows the wonderful decorative stitching. Thanks for sharing these!

  13. Beautiful...I appreciate you posting as I don't think I would have ever "happened upon" it. When I see embroidery on quilts I think crazy quilt. I generally don't like crazy quilts but these quilts are very orderly and the stitching is easy to focus on. So I make an exception to these exceptional quilts. My fav is 19-22.

  15. These quilts are gorgeous, just so beautiful. Thanks for all the pics Linda especially the close ups. Wonderful. I love what she has done with the embellishments to give a whole new dimension and style to traditional favourites. These would have been a delight to see in the real I'm sure.
