This amazing quilt is called Mary Simon Rediscovered by Nancy Kerns.
Her goal was to closely reproduce an antique Baltimore quilt top from the DAR museum.
Her design source was the Mary Simon Pattern set from the DAR Museum.
This quilt just amazed me with it's size and precise piecing.
Yes, it's not much bigger than its 1st place ribbon.

ReplyDeleteSharon Schamber wins a lot. I bet the quilting was amazing on her quilt. I agree with you. Most of the quilts at Houston are way beyond me. Lovely to look at, but I could never make them. My favorite is the mini.
