Special Birthday Quilt

Today l want to share with you a very special quilt. You have heard me talk about me Sorrento Sewing Group and how we swap blocks and do round robins. We also do a xmas exchange and make special quilts for special birthdays.
Well, l had one late last year, just before xmas, a special birthday that is, NOT that l'm counting!!!! But l sure was glad they were!!! This quilt was gifted to me at my special birthday party and l can honestly say l am thrilled with it. Some members worked on the blocks, others did the hand quilting. One of our group designed the centre.
This photo shows us just after they gave me the quilt. Most of our group were present, several were unable to make it. Oh, and the lady in red, she's not really that short!!Here are some close up's of the fabrics used, all reproduction fabrics.

Here is a close up of the centre.

Here is a photo of the cute label they made and signed. Oh, and please ignore the age they wrote on the label, they got it wrong!!!! Didn't they????
