Here we are early afternoon, just about to break for lunch.
Almost, but not quite there!!!
The quilts are closing in around us. Its a wonderful feeling.
The barn takes on this amazing transformation.
Before - you can see all the way to the end.
After - Just the first few rooms of quilts can be seen.
And then when the people arrive. Its just a sight to see!!!
Many thanks to Chris for her tireless effort, quilt hanger extraordinaire!!
Bev, for her wonderful talent at displaying the quilts we couldn't hang.
Paul, who supports all my crazy notions, and lends a hand when needed.
Andy, a whiz with the drill, and ready to do anything that's needed.
And Luke. Just your bad luck to be home yesterday, thanks.
Its the last day before the crowds come. And l still have a million little things on my To Do list. Cups to set out, prep for sandwiches, fill up the urns, take a few pics before the crowds arrive, clean the house, washing, and a trip to the airport, among other things. Wish us luck with the weather. It's not looking too promising.
Thanks for visiting,
Linda.
Wishing you all the best. I'm sure rain, hail or shine there will be many who are as excited as me about this event and will be there no matter what. Thank you and the team for all the hard work to ensure we have a good time.

The quilts are beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI just can´´t wait to see much photos, too!!!!
I hope there will be a photo of every quilt there! How wonderful to see them in person! Thanks so much for sharing with all of us, I wish I could be there!!
ReplyDeletewow, what an array of work. I understand your comments, I walk around some quilt shows and say "why do I quilt" then I remind myself my quilts are beautiful in their own way and I quilt for reasons other than show. Can't wait to see some photos of the individual quilts. And if you need some help running away with them all, call me. I can't lift much but if we put them in suitcases on wheels.........hehehe
ReplyDeleteI just came back from there and it was fantastic. All the quilts are to die for! It was so good to be 'that' closed to them and meeting with the makers, I was in heaven! Thanks Linda, you are the hostess of the mostes! You are so warm, so hospitable and so very generous - Thanks again I have a lovely time - Hugs Nat
ReplyDeleteHow lovey lots and lots of lovely quilts to ogle at. Wish I could come.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda , had a great time on Friday looking at all the lovelly Quilts and chatting to the Ladies of the SSS. Did you happen to find a pair of Glasses by any chance? I just can't seem to find mine. Janine
